Elmo Card

This is a very special card I made for a very special little boy, Tripp.
Please read about him here http://randycourtneytripproth.blogspot.com/

If after reading this you would like to help please go to Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot  to get involved and help out. Remember if everyone did just one thing we would all make it a better place. Open your heart to those that are in need. The LORD uses everything for his cause. I know he is with Tripp and his family giving them the strength they need.

CCCC #30- Dragonfly Card

This is my entry for the CCCC challenge over at Tattered Time

Recipe:
Brown base standard A2 size card
Dragonfly was cut at 3.97x3.00 from the Gyosy Wanderings Cartridge.
The body is dark brown with "Lavander" stickles on the antennae, I then placed gems on the body with my Irock. The colors of the gem are blue and aqua, alternating them. On the underside of the wings I placed a mulberry type of paper with "Stardust" stickles. I then used pop-up tape under the dragonfly.
I cut out a square light green paper to place the dragonfly on to make it pop out from the brown background. I then placed a pink rectangle paper with the sentiment "Believe the Impossible" which is from Pink by Design's "Oh Boy! stamp set.
Thanks for looking.

Father's Day Card

I made a Father's Day Card for the Tacky Tuesday /Patches of pink/Wacky Wednesday challenge. The Wacky Wednesday challange was to make a man card. Patches of pink challenge was to make a Father's Day card & Tacky's challenge was to use a car image and the word "Roll" or "Wheel". I used the Pink by design "Just for men" stamp set and the sentiment "That's how I roll". For my car image I used the dumptruck from the Boys will be boys cart. I cut the truck out @ w 3.53"/h 3" I pasted it with dimensionals on a striped background, standard A2. I used chalking around the stamped sentiment and blue stitching on the car to make it pop out a little more. I also cut out a strip for the top that says grandpa on it. This card is for my son's grandfathers, I made two of the same card with different sentiments.

My Happy Place Let the Creativity Flow...

I FINALLY got my scrap room :) yay!!!!!! It only took since november that we moved into this house. I have 4 more boxes of books (they are in the hallway so that they are in the way-they were not allowed back into my room...lol) to go through and we have officially unpacked all the boxes. Below are some pics...I still have to organize the stuff in my drawers better but I guess little by little I will figure out where to place everything.

I made this card (standard A2) for the Wacky Wednesday Challenge at More than Favors. Its a color challenge use: Brown, Cream, Pink and Teal. I used the elephant with a heart above its trunk from the Holiday Cakes cart. I used my Jungle Fever stamp set from Pink by Design. The phrase is so cute! "Sending a trunk full of love". I cut the elephant at about 3" and then I used one my favorite Peachy Keen Stamps PK-755 Critter Faces Set A Large. I am entering this into their Face it Friday Challenge, which is to use your favortie stamp. Thanks for looking!

Pink By Design -Color Challenge

I made a layout for the Color challenge over at  Pink By Design. The colors are Red, White and Blue and it can't be a card. I'm three years behind on scrap booking my son's picture, and I thought this would be a perfect time to make a layout and participate in the challenge. In the picture is the Doctor that delivered the best gift I have ever gotten, my son was 1 month old. Amazing that he is now 3 yrs. old. How time flies! I used the Pink By Design "Oh Boy" stamp set for the saying "You're just PLANE cute". The "OH BOY!" is from the Mickey Font cartride. Thanks for Looking!

Livestrong Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us this weekend (5/7/11-5/8/11)  in this very inspiring blog hop. This blog hop was started by  Maria and inspired by her fiance. I was honored to be invited to be apart of this. WE all know someone who has been diagnosed with any type of cancer, is a survivor, still fighting it  or has been taken from us! I chose to make a standard A2 card representing breast cancer.

I found the ribbon in the Stand and Salute (so happy I bought it on sale for about 10.00 at Michaels), I never thought I would really use it but figured if anything I would use the planes. The words "pink" and "power"  I used the Alphalicious cart.  I did silver stitching on the words and dark pink stitching on the ribbon. I also used a white with pink lines ribbon in the middle of the card. Its simple but the matter is much more serious.

Thanks for stopping by and supporting our cause.
Lets find the cure to all cancers!

April Birthday Blog hop April 8th-10th

Welcome to the Birthday Blog Hop. If you are coming from
Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot then you are on the right track, If you just happened to stumble on to me then please go back and start on her page. YOU do not want to miss this hop she has great Blog Candy from some of the best sponsors that I love to use. I'm sure I am not the only one :)

Ok now on to my good stuff...Since I'm new to this blog world I do not have many followers so, if I can get  100 followers I will give some candy away too!! Just become a follower and leave me a comment that you have and I will use random.org to select a winner.

Here is what I have for the blog candy: a set of 4 coordinating Pooh stickers,
lemonade stand stickers (summer is around the corner), winter "license plates" and a stamp set.

Before we move on to my project, I want to give a big THANK YOU to Gloria for asking me to be on her DT for her first ever blog hop! A true honor for me especially since I am new to this wonderful world of blogging and designing.

On to my project I made a birthday card for Gloria she loooveeesss Goofy so I just knew I had to have him in it. I lloooovvveee Donald  and after looking in the Mickey and Friends cartridge I thought of how cute it would be to have them both be in it :)

This is a standard A2 card (4 1/4 X 5 1/2).   I used googly eyes and stickles on the hats (after I posted the picture I went back and put more stickles on Goofy's lower part of the hat). Goofy is cut at 3.17 x 4.65 and Donald  3.20 x 4.29  they were designed on my gypsy and I didn't cut out a shadow because the layer with the detail was cut out in black. All the papers were from what I have and on the smaller pieces I used my scraps.

In the inside I wanted to incorporate her love for Disney. I was going to make a tag separately but ended up deciding to put it inside. I used a stamp for the happy birthday . The oval is from George and Basic Shapes cut at 4.45 x 6.02. The Heart and the Disney are from the same mickey and friends cart. Heart was cut at 3.71 x 3.12 and Disney  was 4.89 x 3.12.
I hope you enjoy my card and that you may get as inspired as others have inspired me.

Glorias' beautiful daughter Jazmine made this:

The Goofy is a stamp image that she colored in and the sentiment is from  Pink by Design from the stamp set "Take the cake".

TFL and don't forget to check out Maria  next

Get Whale Soon

This A2 card was made using the Just Beacuse and Crete a Critter cartridges. The whale is from Create a Critter but the saying came from Just Beacuse. The saying is 2.65x3.71 and the whale is 2.77x2.53. On the whale I used stickles for her tail and for above her head, Peachy Keen Stamps PK- 755 Critter Faces "Large". I also used light blue eyelets on the corners to bring in some water element, the back ground is grey. It still seemed a little plain so I added white stitching to the "get whale soon". I am very happy with the results.Hope you enjoy. TFL!

St. Patricks Day

My friend Rosie is going on a weekend cruise for St. Patricks  Day Weekend. I wanted to make her a card for the upcoming trip/St.Patricks' Day. I made a "Tall" Card and I finally used my first Peachy Keen Stamp. I believe the face was from the PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment and the four-leaf clovers and cruise ship was from Potpourri Basket Cartridge. I stamped "Lucky" on the ship and I used clear stickles on top of the light green paper that I had under the ship. I put a brown ribbon on the side and a green in the middle of my card that says Party Time! I also put a heart shaped brad in the center.

In the inside I embossed a piece of white scrap with hearts and then I punched the
design on the brown scrap. I love having scraps that work just perfectly.

TFL!!

Cars Birthday Banner

My son wanted "cars" for Christmas and his 3rd Birthday. I have seen a couple of people making banners and some how convinced myself to try this crazy experiment. WELL after many frustrations and scrapnights at my BF house, I DID IT!! I can't believe that I somehow was brave enough to try making this. LOL.
Hope you get inspired the same way some of the ladies have inspired me. Thanks for looking.

My sis in law made his birthday cake and I must say it came out GREAT!!!

This is a quick Birthday card that I made for my niece. She wanted a "Halloween Theme" for her birthday, since she was born in October.
Not much creativity on it but the paper was just "Purr-fect" : )
Thanks for looking.

I wasn't able to turn the picture.

The Rock Cafe

Tonight I made this sign for my friend. I used the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge at 4" (blackout) for the letters. The Coffee Pot was From My Kitchen Cartridge at 3 1/4"  and the coffee mug was from Birthday Cakes at 3 1/4 " (that I got from Michaels for $9.99) LOVE THAT!!!
