Tootsie Owl Treat

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by, today I made a little Tootsie pop treat for my little one. I am entering it into the Challenge going on right now at Jaded Blossom. I used the Fancy Topper Die and the sentiment is from Valentine Treats from Jaded Blossom. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Dusty Concord for the sentiment "Treats for my sweets". The Owl is from the "Give a Hoot" cricut Cartridge. I used Glossy accents and Lavender Stickles on his body and branch. For the eyes and beak I used Rhinestones.  It has been a while since I played with my Cricut and it was like riding a bike with a good friend. I used an Owl since it makes me think of Fall and I had a Tootie Pop, reminded me of the commercial with Owl asking how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

Here is the challenge: use the color, picture or both for inspiration.

I went with color to make this treat holder.
My son has gone back to school, this will be a nice surprise for him in his lunch bag.
Love this lollipop holder and I know I will be using for treats for his class for the holidays!

Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon Guest Designer

I am so excited to be a guest designer for Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon! YAY!!! I got my silhouette cameo for Christmas and to be honest I have been sort of scared to use it. I know I know....but hey it's a little complicated. I have been "researching" on youtube and well when I finally went to use it I had to call my besty for assistance there is a lot of buttons around the screen LOL
The file I used was "Trip to the Dentist"

Trip to the Dentist Cutting Files
Lisa's file was not hard to use at all and that made it easy peasy.  I love that this file has so much to chose from. Since my son is now 6 I know I will be using this one again for his first visit to the dentist as well as for tooth "missing" pictures.
Below is my layout of my son when he was 7 months old already brushing his mouth. My dentist recommended this to help him with his gum irritation when he was starting to teeth as well as for him to get used to having a tooth brush once those pearly whites arrived.

Items used:
PPPR SVG file
Peachy Keen "Everyday Character Face"
Tim Holtz Distressed Ink "Faded Jeans"
White gel pen
Black pen for journaling
I want to thank Lisa for giving me the opportunity to design for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. I had so much fun using her file and I hope I can do this again.  Don't forget to like PPPR on Facebook and become a blog follower. They offer amazing freebies every Friday so don't forget to go get it!!

Pocket Page of Love

I never know what to do with the cards I get for my birthdays or holidays. I'm a hoarder when it comes to sentimental things like that, I can never just throw it out. So I came up with a simple solution to incorporate this into my scrapbook. Here is a picture of the finished pocket in an album holding some cards and lettes from my husband. I went old school on this and tried using stickers I have and not relying on my cricut machine. It's simple but I  am happy with how it turned out. I might have to make some more for Christmas/Birthdays.
