Sun-filled day

Today's theme for My Cricut Craft Room is Fun in the Sun. The team was challenged to use a Sun image. My sis is starting to get into Project Life and well we get into trouble together so I am wetting my toes with this project life page. I like the flexibility that PL gives but I also enjoy the "old style" of creating layouts with my Cricut. I plan on using a little of both styles.

This is what the card looked like before the sun/sand dollar image

Here you can see how I used little journaling papers from the kit to mat the pics on

Secret Rose

Today I have a card for My Cricut Craft Room, the theme is hidden rose. I chose to make a simple card where the children are hiding the roses, I wanted the roses to be standing out.

Recipe:

Base card is white blank card size 5 x 5
I covered with beige paper
A child's year  Cartridge- Boy and girl image  cut at 5.43 x 5.00
I wanted the silhouette style of the children- like the old pictures that just shows the image in black
Just Because Cartridge -Roses cut at 0.62 x 0.96
White gel on roses

I hope you enjoyed my project. To see more like this please visit : http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/

Graduation

Here is my Design Team post for Card Creating Tuesday over at My Cricut Craft Room! I made this for my male cousin whom is graduating from High School TODAY!!  I googled his school colors, gold and black.

Recipe:
Card Base is a purchased, folded 5" x 5" blank white card from Studio G
Graduation Cap - Wild Card Cricut Cart- Shape cut 6.07" x 5.71"
This image comes ready for a shape style card what I did was folded it along the score and used it on top of my blank card.

The image has a hole already for the tassel but I wanted to embellish it with a gold eyelet

Tassel was created by putting some gold "Holiday Ribbon" from Target thru the eyelet and taping it down on the inside then I folded the cap and I used some pop up tape under it

Gold stickers from years ago for the 2013

Memento ink in Tuxedo Black
Pink Stamper "Sweet Baby" stamp set - Congratulations!
Pink by Design "Just for U" Stamp set - Proud of U for the inside of the card

Thanks for stopping by and hope I can inspire you to create!
